He meets the falling star, Yvaine (Claire Danes), and they travel together in search of Victoria. Well, the plot thickens when the sons of the recently deceased king all fight with one another in order to catch the falling star, so that one of them might be the next king.
Troubles abound even more when the wicked witch (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) pursues Yvaine in order that she might capture her heart ... literally. Tristan and Yvaine encounter many unusual people and adventures along the way. Tristan, who goes on the adventure all for the love of Victoria, finds that maybe it is not Victoria's heart that he is meant to capture.
The movie is filled with magic, love, and humor. The fighting brothers give the story a comedic and unique touch, while Robert DeNiro adds to the humor with his different character as Captain Shakespeare. Michelle Pfeiffer shows her versatility in portraying the powerful witch and Charlie Cox amazes the audience in the transformation he undergoes throughout the movie.
If you like tales of adventure and magic or if you simply want to get a laugh from a lighthearted story, this is the movie to see. The meaning of real love is questioned, giving the audience something to think about. I highly recommend seeing this movie, so catch it before it leaves the big screen!
