OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - In just the second meeting ever between the two schools and the first since Mid-America Christian University joined the Sooner Athletic Conference this year, the Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps swept the Evangels 3-0 on day one of a grueling three day road trip for LCU. The Lady Chaps will play three SAC games in three days in three different cities.

In game one, the Lady Chaps (13-4, 4-0) took control early, jumping out to a 12-5 lead and never looked back, going on to a 30-10 victory.

In game two, MACU (4-9) made its best showing of the night, playing even with Lubbock Christian the first 20 points before the Lady Chaps went on a 15-5 run and cruised to the 30-21 win.

In the final game, LCU went up 9-5 and gradually expanded that lead to 26-18 before scoring the final four points of the match.

Suzanne Childress finished with a game-high 11 kills and added 17 digs, while Kelsey Odell, Elissa Loynes, and Kaydee Starkey all had nine kills. Rachel Stuyvesant handed out 32 assists, Hayley Gafford added eight, and defensively, Courtney Yonke led all players with 20 digs.
