KANSAS CITY, MO - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released its annual pre-season basketball polls earlier this week, and the Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps are ranked #10.

The Lady Chaps are joined in the "Top 25" by Southern Nazarene at #5, Oklahoma City at #12, and Oklahoma Baptist at #20, with Oklahoma Christian and the University of Science and Arts receiving votes.

In the VSN (Victory Sports Network) poll, also released this week, the LCU women were #12, and they were the top SAC team, though they were joined by Southern Nazarene (15), Oklahoma City (17), Oklahoma Baptist (21), and Oklahoma Christian (23).

A year ago, the LCU women went 26-7 and finished tied for the Sooner Athletic Conference championship, never leaving the NAIA "Top 10," and concluding the season at #6.

The Lady Chaps, favored to repeat as the SAC champions in a vote of the league head coaches, will open the season on November 10th at Abilene Christian University.
