Welcoming in 2008!
A Few Words from Our Editor

Ah, the winter break. There is something just so great about having an entire month off of school. Well, it was actually more like three weeks, but you get the point. After finals many of you probably rushed off to go home, go skiing, or even go out of the country. Most of you spent time with your families and participated in time-honored traditions.
As 2008 rolls onto the scene, many of you have noticed a few changes. The official Lubbock Christian University website looks amazing and very sharp. The chapel announcements are now very colorful, and the biggest change of all is, of course, the new chapel times. Hopefully, 11:00 a.m. will be a greater time to meet in a time of worship and fellowship.
We, here at The DusterToday would like to say that we are committed to you, the people of LCU, in the highest possible way. We are eager to bring you coverage of all things LCU, including sports, entertainment, and various student activities going on around campus. Since we are just a small group trying for the best, this is not always possible. We need you. If you know words and with those words you can use them to create a sentence, then we need you! Our staff is small, but full of a great bunch of people. We are trying hard to get the Duster name out there and to get our readership up. We cannot do this without your help.
As the cold weather begins to subside, we are reminded that things change … often for the better. Keep this into account as we experience these changes together. I personally feel that good things are to be expected from 2008, and I cannot wait to see what those things are.
