How Much Have You Given?
University offers opportunities to "give"

"To whom much is given, much is expected." We find ourselves in a broken world. Let's face it. All around us people are suffering, hope is hiding, the light is fading. And what do we do about it?
Well, we get caught up in our lives, our own struggles and starless nights. If we really think about it, the majority of us are extremely blessed. Obviously, I do not know everyone here and I do not know the experiences everyone has gone through. You are at college. That is a blessing in itself. There are people out there without this same opportunity you have been given. Let's be honest, many of us have extremely blessed lives. I know I do.
That is not to say that none of us have battles constantly raging in our lives. " To whom much is given, much is expected." That phrase has been eating at me ever since I read it in class. I have been given much. This does not simply mean that I am well off financially and I have an easy life. "Much is given" can imply a lot. Intelligence, knowledge, the gift of speaking, and an amiable nature are just a few examples.
I have been blessed in many ways. For one, my temptations do not have detrimental consequences, as may be the case for others. Yes, all sins are the same. However, in this world they do bring about different levels of consequences. There are people at LCU still searching, I realize that.
There are also many people here that have a burning passion for Christ. There are people here who have been "given much." What we need to do is not to settle. It is not about what "level" of Christianity we can reach. It is a change into a totally different dimension. Jesus says go, so why don't we go? There are people out there that need us. " To whom much is given, much is expected." Have you been given much?
