The Sooner Athletic Conference office released their "Player of the Week" selections on Monday and Ryan Burke of Lubbock Christian University and Tyler Kelsey of Oklahoma City University are Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for March 24-30.

Burke, a senior shortstop from Santa Clarita, CA, led the Chaps to a 4-0 week, hitting .688 with a 1.375 slugging percentage. He scored seven times and had two doubles and three home runs, driving in eight runs in taking LCU past Hardin-Simmons and a three-game sweep of Southern Nazarene. He also had three stolen bases.

Kelsey, a senior lefty from Edmond, OK, threw a complete-game one-hit shutout against 10th-ranked Wayland Baptist. Kelsey, who carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning, fanned five in a row at one point and finished with eight strikeouts and issued no walks.

This week the Chaps will host perennial NAIA and Sooner Conference power Oklahoma City University in a three-game series at Hays Field. The two "top five" clubs (LCU is #3, OCU is #5 in latest NAIA rankings) will square off in a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 3:00 pm. The series will conclude on Saturday with a 1:00 pm single game.
