<p>Lubbock Christian University baseball head coach Nathan Blackwood recently announced two additions to his staff, as he has named Andy Schatzley as a graduate assistant coach and Billy Jordan as a student-assistant coach.</p>

<p>Schatzley comes to LCU after just concluding a tenure as a student-athlete at Lyon College in Batesville, AR. The Paragould, AR native was a scholar athlete while playing baseball in college. The infielder spent the 2005 and 2006 season at Pratt Community College (Pratt, KS) prior to transferring to Lyon College. Schatzley graduated with a degree in history.</p>

<p>Jordan just completed his collegiate eligibility this past season with the Chaparral baseball team. The native of Canyon spent his freshman season at Vernon College before coming to LCU as a relief pitcher. In the 2008 season, Jordan made 13 appearances and posted a 6.14 ERA with no decisions. His college career at LCU included a 2-1 record with 24 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings spanning 23 appearances. Jordan is majoring in Kinesiology while at LCU.</p>
